Publisher The LeakWatch service (the "Service") is published by a sole trader (*entreprise individuelle*, registration in progress). Full details are on the [legal notice](/legal). Purpose LeakWatch is a service that detects secrets (API keys, credentials, access tokens, and the like) publicly exposed on source code platforms (GitHub, GitLab and equivalents). These General Terms and Conditions of Use and Sale (the "Terms") govern access to and use of the Service, whether under the free offering or the paid Solo and Team subscriptions. Use of the Service, whether free or paid, constitutes full and unreserved acceptance of these Terms. ## 3\. Access to the Service Access to certain features of the Service requires authentication through a GitHub or GitLab account (OAuth). The User warrants that they own the account used and are legally authorised to use it. The Service is restricted to persons aged 18 or over, or who have the consent of their legal guardian where applicable law permits a lower age. By creating an account, the User represents that they meet this condition. ## 4\. Description of offers **Free** — free, permanent access to leaks already detected on the public repositories associated with the User's GitHub/GitLab identity (secret type and severity), plus one deep scan of the User's full git history every 30 days, whose report includes commit links and secret liveness. It does not include continuous monitoring, and outside that report the leak details remain masked. **Solo** and **Team** — paid subscriptions with continuous monitoring of selected repositories, real-time alerts and the full history of scanned commits. The applicable prices and features are those displayed on the pricing page at the time of subscription. LeakWatch reserves the right to change its offerings, their features and their prices. Any price change will apply only to renewals occurring after it takes effect, and the User will be informed in advance. ## 5\. Payment, term and termination Paid subscriptions are billed monthly by payment card through our payment provider Stripe. LeakWatch stores no payment card data: such data is processed exclusively by Stripe. The subscription renews automatically each month until cancelled by the User, which is possible at any time from the subscription management area (Stripe Customer Portal). **No refund** is issued for a period already under way: cancellation ends future renewals, but paid access remains active until the end of the period already billed. Should a payment fail, the Service may retry the charge and then suspend paid access if the failure persists, without further notice beyond Stripe's standard notification. ## 6\. Limitation of liability The Service operates on a best-efforts basis (*obligation de moyens*). Secret detection relies on automated rules and heuristics; it guarantees neither exhaustive detection nor the absence of false positives or false negatives. LeakWatch cannot be held liable for the direct or indirect consequences of a secret that goes undetected, is detected late, or is reported in error. The User remains solely responsible for the security of their credentials and for revoking exposed secrets as soon as they are detected, whether that detection comes from the Service or from another source. The Service is provided "as is", with no guarantee of continuous availability. LeakWatch cannot be held liable for any interruption, loss of data or malfunction resulting from force majeure or from a third party (hosting provider, the GitHub/GitLab platforms, payment provider). ## 7\. Personal data The processing of personal data collected through the Service (OAuth identifier, email, billing data transmitted to Stripe) is described in our [Privacy Policy](/privacy). The User has a right of access, rectification and erasure of their data, which may be exercised by writing to [contact@leakwatch.net](mailto:contact@leakwatch.net). ## 8\. Authorized use The User undertakes to use the Service only to monitor repositories and identities that they own or are legitimately authorised to monitor. Any use of the Service for unauthorised offensive reconnaissance against third parties, for automated mass collection (scraping), or to circumvent the technical limits of the Service is prohibited and may result in immediate suspension of the account, without prejudice to any legal proceedings. ## 9\. Modification of the T&Cs LeakWatch may amend these Terms at any time. Users will be informed of any substantial change by email or by notification within the Service. Continued use of the Service after the new Terms take effect constitutes acceptance of them. ## 10\. Applicable law and disputes These Terms are governed by French law. In the event of a dispute, an amicable solution will be sought first by contacting [contact@leakwatch.net](mailto:contact@leakwatch.net). Failing an amicable agreement, the French courts shall have exclusive jurisdiction, subject to the mandatory rules applicable to consumers. LeakWatch Secrets leak into public commits every minute.
